Job Advert: Quality Team Leader (Automotive)

Location: Solihull, UK

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Shifts: Rotating Early, Late, and Night Shifts

Pay Rate: £13.50-£15.00 per hour

Additional Pay: Night shift uplift (Monday to Friday)

About the Role

We're seeking a proactive Quality Team Leader to oversee shift operations, lead inspectors, and ensure high-quality containment and rework activities for our automotive OEM customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and train Quality Inspectors and temporary specialists.
  • Deliver containment and rework projects on-time, on-budget, and to OEM quality standards.
  • Ensure smooth material flow and zero disruption to customer production.
  • Use eQCC for accurate data capture and enforce process adherence.
  • Conduct audits, spot checks, and quality checks.
  • Liaise directly with OEMs, suppliers, and customer teams.
  • Create Statements of Work and ensure 100% accurate timesheets.
  • Support safe working practices—report accidents and near-misses.
  • Drive continuous improvement and minimise waste.
  • Support onboarding and follow HR processes when required.
Requirements
  • Automotive experience with OEMs/suppliers.
  • Proven leadership experience in a quality or supervisory role.
  • Strong audit and process compliance background.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience with ASRS and eQCC systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong attention to detail.
  • Full clean UK (or equivalent) driving licence.
