Job summary

We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mandatory Trainer, predominantly focusing on the delivery of Fire Safety, Warden, Evacuation training. There will also be a requirement to deliver other Quality & Safety training where needed: BLS, PM&H, Conflict resolution for clinical colleagues across our Community Adult and Childrens Services. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to step back into the sector in a part‑time or flexible capacity while making a real difference.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to travel to our Essex, Kent and Prison (Chelmsford & Norwich) hubs to deliver training.

Main duties of the job
  • Support internal quality assurance of all clinical and Quality & Safety learning interventions, ensuring compliance with the TLE Quality Assurance process.
  • Maintain the clinical and Quality & Safety training course catalogue, keeping all course information up to date.
  • Participate in relevant clinical and Quality & Safety training projects and programmes.
  • Educate, develop and support SMEs delivering learning interventions in the organisation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in learning provision.
  • Manage own workload, possessing excellent planning, prioritisation, organisational and time‑management skills and the ability to plan travel effectively.
  • Support training needs analysis to identify demand for learning interventions prior to development.

Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 per year (pro‑rata for part‑time, dependant on experience). Person specification – essential criteria
  • Relevant fire safety qualification (e.g. IOSH, Fire Protection Association Advanced Fire Safety Management, membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers, Loughborough Post‑Graduate Certificate in Fire Safety Management, CFPA Diploma or extensive fire service experience).
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Recognised Level 4 teaching, training or assessing qualification (or willingness to achieve this within a set period).
  • Ability to deliver training covering a wide range of health and care‑appropriate subject specialisms.
  • Experience designing, developing and delivering high‑quality blended learning solutions suitable for a health and care audience.
  • Competence in using digital tools in the development and delivery of training solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience of curriculum development and course design.
Person specification – desirable criteria
  • Relevant additional qualifications or experience in clinical training and curriculum design.
  • Experience in safety training for prison environments.
