Permanent (Full-Time, 40 Hrs)

£28,500 - £32,000 per annum + Excellent Corporate Benefits Package

We are looking for a Quality Performance Specialist To drive the quality, performance, academic and vocational success across our prison in all subject areas. You will promote excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and behaviour management strategies relevant to the culture at HMP Fosse Way.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the Quality Cycle is effectively driven throughout the prison as part of the Education, Skills, and Work Quality team.
  • Work in collaboration with the Neurodiversity Manager, Prison Employment Lead, Industries and Purposeful Activity Manager and Milton Keynes College to ensure a constant quality approach.
  • Plan and lead on learning walks and lesson observations, coordinate deep dives and support with the production of reports, action plans and feedback to staff.
  • Coach and support others to develop and improve in their teaching practice, ensuring that resulting teaching and learning action plans are achieved and effective.
  • Plan thematic deep dives and assist with Awarding body/ IQA/EQA visits.
  • Assist with HMIP/Ofsted Inspection visits and resulting action plans.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards appropriate to the post.
  • Monitor attendance and create reports from CMS and Curious.
  • Support the HoESW in other duties relating to quality.
What you will need to do the role
  • Evidence of providing support/training for teachers/Tutors/Instructors to provide a high quality, effective learning experience for all.
  • A track record in the management of quality improvement with evidence of raising standards.
  • Experience of operating within a Custodial Environment.
  • Previous experience of working in an educational or quality role.
  • Experience in the preparation for and during an Ofsted Inspection and detailed knowledge of OFSTED/Estyn's EIF (Education Inspection Framework) and further education and skills criteria.
  • Experience of implementing change, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching qualification (QTLS as appropriate) / Assessor/Verifier Award or extensive relevant work experience of working within a quality role in an educational setting.
  • Evidence of providing support/training for teachers to provide high quality effective learning experience.
  • Extensive IT skills - ability to work across various IT platforms to analysis data.
