Do you have experience working as a Quality Matron? We are looking for a Quality Matron who will support and lead the on-boarding of new services including two care homes with the provision of Registered Nurses and the delivery of high-quality care to the residents. You will also provide direct patient care as required.Salary: £28.13 per hourLocation: Brushwood and Millvina Care homes, with travel to Wavertree Head officeContract: BankWhat will you be doingWork in collaboration with the Local Authorities and encompass leadership, education, development, quality improvement and management of the nursing teams within the care homes.Support the division with input to quality improvement initiatives and role out the internal accreditation program.Provide dedicated on-site support to complete an initial assessment into current provision, collaborate with the local authority and CQC regulations. Identify gaps in service provision developing and implementing improvement plans.Investigate and manager complaints and quality concerns, ensuring adult safeguarding policies and procedures are in line with PC24 and Local Authority requirements.Ensure a robust system is in place to report and manager any incidents, escalating and providing feedback.Prioritise team workload and oversight of staffing requirements, across both units to meet safe staffing guidelines. Ensure Safety Huddles take place.Be visibly present to support and manage all aspects of people management for direct reports. Including absence management, performance management, objective setting and training.Train and educate care home staff in matters relating to quality and patient safety to ensure that they have the correct skills and competencies. Include early recognition and deterioration of patients and escalations into established care pathways.Maintain an up to date awareness of all key aspects of the role including interpretation and implementation of policies.
