A modern CNC machine shop in Verwood is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector CMM Programmer. The role involves inspecting machined parts to aerospace standards, conducting detailed inspections, and programming CMM equipment. Responsibilities
  • Inspecting machined parts to tight aerospace tolerances
  • Performing First Off and Stage inspections of detailed components
  • Completing batch inspections using manual techniques (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
  • Programming and operating CMM equipment (preferably PC‑Dmis)
  • Creating and completing First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102 standards
Experience
  • Proven background in a busy sub‑contract machine shop environment
  • Strong knowledge of machining practices and geometric tolerancesAbility to interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Manual inspection experience using precision measuring tools
  • Competence with Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
