Quality Improvement Coach/Teacher Trainer Lecturer - Broxbourne - 21.6 hours (3 days) per week - (2 days Quality Improvement, 1 Day Lecturing) - £28.57 to £30.70 per hour - until end July 2026

About Hertford Regional College

We are recruiting a combined role of Quality Improvement Coach and Teacher Training Lecturer for Hertford Regional College (HRC) to act as the first-line staff support for Quality Improvement and Innovation in Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the college. About The Role

The Quality Improvement Coach will develop existing and new teaching staff across the college through CPD and bespoke tailored support in connection with managers and business needs. The role encompasses teaching duties, curriculum development, departmental organisation responsibilities, personal professional development and the marketing and promotion of HRC.

A significant part of the role will encompass the delivery of planned, coordinated and high-quality teaching and assessment on appropriate subjects/units and contribute to teaching on other programmes as agreed with the line manager. Teaching duties will include the appropriate preparation and delivery of learning materials and resources.

About You

You will have proven experience of, and a passion for supporting teaching staff to success through coaching and mentoring. You will have experience of internal verification or quality assurance for Teaching, Learning and Assessment. You will have knowledge of the education Inspection framework and early career teacher framework, and an up-to-date knowledge of reforms in FE including T-Levels and English and Maths.

You will have an ability to engage and motivate individuals to deliver performance outcomes in further education, work based learning and higher education.

You will possess a teacher training qualification such as a PGCE, a Level 2 qualification (or above) in a specialist subject and have an L3 assessors award or be willing to work towards achieving one.
