Are you a Quality Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement, process optimisation, and technical accuracy? Do you thrive in a manufacturing environment and enjoy ensuring that products and processes meet the highest standards? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Wellingborough. This is a varied and autonomous role where you'll play a key part in improving production quality, developing and maintaining quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Monday - Friday (role flexibility available)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Duties
  • Develop, write, and maintain quality-related documentation, including SOPs and inspection procedures
  • Analyse production processes and identify opportunities for quality improvement
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring all quality systems meet required standards
  • Produce and interpret data reports to drive quality performance improvements
  • Assist in staff training on quality procedures and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance process efficiency and product quality
Qualifications
  • Have proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally within plastics extrusion or similar sectors
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering
  • Have a strong understanding of quality management systems and process control
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Have experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and documentation management
  • Be an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively across departments
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software would be beneficial
