Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in Maghull is seeking a Quality Controller to contribute to the Quality Control function. You will monitor production, ensure quality standards, and perform quality checks on finished goods. Ideal candidates will have experience in Quality Control within the food manufacturing sector and exposure to BRC and HACCP standards. This role offers a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the Food Manufacturing sector is essential.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Must be a team player with exposure to BRC and HACCP standards desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor processing of raw materials to ensure specifications are met.
  • Pack cooked or raw products into sealed retail ready packaging.
  • Conduct thermal processing according to HACCP guidelines.
  • Continuously improve processes and uphold quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks on goods produced.

Market Leading Food Manufacturer - Sykes Seafood

BASED MAGHULL

Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off. 6am - 6pm.

ROLE

As a member of the Technical team, the Quality Controller contributes to the successful operation of the Quality Control function on site. This includes the following functions: Production monitoring and control in accordance with customer specifications, various regulatory and certification bodies and Customer Codes of Practice, Environmental and product monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring the processing of raw materials to create finished products in accordance with established specifications
  • The packing of cooked or raw product into sealed retail ready packaging
  • Thermal processing of raw product in accordance with the Company HACCP plan
  • The packing of cooked product into retail ready modified atmosphere packaging
  • To continually improve processes and standards within the facility
  • Uphold Quality Standards throughout the factory
  • Quality Checks on goods produced
CANDIDATE

You must have previous experience working in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the Food Manufacturing sector. You will have good communication skills and you will be ready to work well as part of a team. Exposure to BRC and HACCP standards would be desirable.

Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off. 6am - 6pm. 10.5 hours per day + 1.5 hour unpaid breaks
