Job Description

Piccadilly Construction, our in-house Contracting Management Team, is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager to review and develop the current quality systems and to manage and ensure that our construction projects meet the required quality control standards. Our projects are predominantly based in London and consist of residential re-cladding, high-rise extensions, & new builds, along with Cut & Carve, change of use, and new build hotels and commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and improve the current quality control protocols for the business.
  2. Create and implement procedures to ensure that our projects adhere to established quality standards.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and processes to identify and address deviations from quality standards.
  4. Track quality metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Provide training and guidance to construction personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
  6. Ensure that the project complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  7. Visit sites regularly to set up and audit all aspects of quality.

About You:

  • Expertise in the quality control process, ideally within residential and hotel sectors.
  • Experience in effectively managing quality control. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its requirements regarding quality control would be an advantage.
  • An excellent understanding of construction technology, including design and construction defects, and how to avoid them.
