Job summary

A leading food manufacturing client in Livingston is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Line Supervisor on a temporary basis. You will ensure production standards are met and maintain quality checks on products. Ideal candidates should have experience in a production environment, strong organisational skills, and a good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures. The role offers weekly pay at £12.65 per hour with training provided.

Job description

Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for some to join our Livingston based food manufacturing client.

We're looking for an experienced individual to become a Quality Assurance/Line Supervisor on a temporary basis - training will be given in both departments.

  • Working 5 days over 7 - from 6am to 3pm
  • Paid weekly at £12.65 per hour

In this role, you will ensure that production standards are met and maintained for all goods. Performing checks on random samples from a production line to ensure all products, labelling and packaging meets customer specifications.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for carrying out production assessments of products
  • Record results and allocate according to the customer requirements
  • To ensure that finished products comply with specification
  • Conduct inspections accurately as and when required in the production schedule
  • Calibrate production equipment
  • Check daily orders and allocate personnel to tasks
  • Ensure the job is being done effectively and efficiently whilst work Safety standards are being met
  • Ensure that all products are being checked and packed properly to customer/product specifications
  • Fill in relevant paperwork needed for productivity

To be successful within this position, you will ideally have experience of working within a production environment. Combined with relevant experience of working within a fast-paced environment, and a good working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.

Other key skills, traits and experience includes:

  • Able to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Be computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to organise yourself and others
  • Pallet truck training will be provided for Line Supervisor part of this position
