Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced QC Coordinator to join an Aberdeen-based EPC firm working across the energy sector. This is a newly created permanent staff role based at the company’s fabrication facility in Dyce. The role is essential in ensuring that all Quality Control activities are carried out effectively and that products meet required standards and customer specifications.

The QC Coordinator will be responsible for supporting quality performance across fabrication operations. You will work closely with Managers, Superintendents, Production Teams and QC personnel to ensure that all quality-related activities run smoothly and meet both company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building effective working relationships across operational and quality teams.
  • Reviewing, revising and approving Material Requisition Books (MRBs) to verify customer requirements.
  • Coordinating all QC activities, including material certification review.
  • Ensuring all products meet required quality levels and customer specifications.
  • Confirming correct NDT and dimensional tolerances are in place, with all certification completed prior to release.
  • Preparing documentation for third‑party inspectors and client representatives.
  • Organising and liaising with third‑party inspectors and client personnel for ongoing works.
  • Maintaining full traceability of weld and material information within the company database.
  • Reviewing and verifying documentation dossiers before submission.
  • Continuing developing skills in line with the evolving needs of the role.

  • Experience in a fabrication environment.
  • Inspection experience.

  • Ability to coordinate internal resources and third parties.
