About Us

We are an engineering consultancy bridging Quality Engineering, Cloud Platforms and Developer Experience.

Our values challenge us to do the best we can for ClearRoute, our customers and most importantly our team. We want to create a collaborative team to help build ClearRoute. This is an opportunity for you to build a consultancy from the ground up, use your voice to drive change and help transform organisations and problem domains.

Role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced generative AI solutions with a focus on large language model (LLM) integrations. You will design and optimise AI-driven capabilities that form the foundation of our customers agentic development platform and its core primitives. This includes building scalable systems that leverage cutting-edge research in generative AI, orchestrating multi-model workflows, and ensuring seamless integration of AI into developer-facing tools. You will collaborate closely with engineering, research, and product teams to translate complex AI advancements into practical, high-impact solutions that empower developers to build intelligent, autonomous applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop core AI primitives using state-of-the-art LLM technologies

  • Build full-stack components for the Automated Code Modernisation agent

  • Create data pipelines to support AI model training, fine-tuning and evaluation

  • Implement context-aware generation capabilities with organisational guardrails

  • Contribute to the value measurement framework for AI adoption

  • Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices through code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and release management.

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or identified through testing, providing timely resolutions.

  • Contribute to the documentation of software design, architecture, and development processes.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of generative AI, LLM architectures and prompt engineering

  • Strong Python development skills with experience in AI/ML frameworks

  • Data engineering experience, particularly with unstructured and code-related data

  • Full-stack development capabilities across frontend and backend systems

  • Experience with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

  • Knowledge of AI evaluation metrics and performance optimisation

  • Experience with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
