Overview
As a Quality Auditor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver assurance across our Marine sector. This is a dynamic opportunity to influence quality standards and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites. You'll help ensure our Quality Management System (QMS) is robust, effective, and aligned with our commitment to excellence in defence and engineering.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Leading internal audits and producing comprehensive reports that drive improvement
- Supporting site teams with external audit preparation and post-audit actions
- Advising on assurance matters and attending local management meetings
- Creating routine and ad-hoc reports on audit performance and non-conformities
- Benchmarking best practices and sharing insights across teams
Work Details
Full-time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. Agile working with a minimum of 3 days expected in the office, but more as required.
Essential Experience
- Solving problems using a range of quality and improvement tools
- Making informed decisions based on available data
- Managing risk and multitasking effectively
- Motivating teams and handling challenging conversations
- Communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels
Qualifications
- Educated to Level 2 in the National Qualification Framework (e.g. GCSEs A‑C or equivalent)
- Completed a relevant technical or vocational qualification at Level 3 (e.g. NVQ, Advanced Apprenticeship)
- Demonstrated internal audit training and experience
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO9001:2015
- Experience in quality assurance within a Defence or Land environment
- Candidate must have a driving licence as likely substantial travel involved
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
