Commercial Express is on a trajectory of fantastic growth, with ambitious plans for the future and is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join our thriving MGA Business.
The Role:
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will conduct Quality Assurance Audits within our Underwriting Service Department to monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines and licence authorities, along with analysing compliance standards to provide ongoing assurance of adherence to regulatory requirements.
You will proactively identify areas for improvement where required and work with the business to implement remedial actions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Conduct monthly Technical Quality Assurance Audits across our Underwriting Services Department and Key Account Manager Teams.
- Provide timely feedback, ensuring agreed remedial actions are implemented within set timescales.
- Liaise with Technical Underwriting and IT teams to resolve process or system issues and prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure breaches or issues identified are accurately recorded.
- Support the production of management information, audit reports, and monthly performance results.
- Assist with trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities, training needs, and risk areas.
- Escalate critical or highly rated issues to the Head of Compliance and contribute to the development of QA Framework and associated policies and procedures.
- Undertake ad hoc QA duties or projects and provide support to the Agency and Compliance Administrator to ensure service levels to our Brokers are maintained.
Skills and Experience:
- Good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations.
- A proactive 'can-do' and flexible attitude with the ability to recognise priorities at short notice.
- Self-motivated and good organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload and deliver against deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to build successful relationships with all stakeholders and champion the compliance culture, acting as a role model.
- Ability to innovate and improve working processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
