Job description

Overview

Denchi Group is the UK's leading supplier of high reliability battery systems and is looking to strengthen its team through the appointment of a Quality Assurance Inspector.

Salary dependent on applicant.

Key functions

As a Quality Assurance Inspector at Denchi, you will provide assurance to the organisation that its processes are delivering the desired results and to facilitate improvements to those processes and their products. You will monitor and evaluate products and identify opportunities for improving the performance of operational processes. The role requires good analytical skills with a working knowledge of standard software packages, such as Microsoft Office, to facilitate evidence-based decision making and the ability to present results in written or spoken form. The role is suitable for someone with aspirations for a career in Quality Assurance, using experiential, vocational and academic qualifications to develop from inspector to technician and potentially to an engineering or management role.

Responsibilities will focus on verification and monitoring activities including:

  • Purchased material
  • Product audits (Patrol & final)
  • First Article Inspection (AS9102)
  • Recording results for the above activities and notifying relevant personnel
  • Internal audits (Process & Project)
  • COSHH Risk Assessments
  • NC analysis & reviews to facilitate closure and identify internal and external improvement programmes
  • IPC 610 PCBA Inspections
  • Spill kits auditing
Experience and Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel and Word
  • Interpretation of drawings, use of measuring tools
  • Evidence-based decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Understanding and experience of utilising problem-solving tools
  • Minimum level 5 National Maths, English and a Science
  • Desirable: educated to Higher/HNC/HND or above

Full time hours of work: Monday - Friday 7am – 3pm.
