Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Greater London is seeking a Quality & Assembly Technician. The role involves product inspection and hands-on assembly to ensure high-quality components and accurate shipments. Candidates should have over 2 years in quality inspection and 5 years in manufacturing. This position starts ASAP with an initial 3-month contract and potential for permanent placement. The pay is £13.09 per hour.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in manufacturing or assembly operations.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement equipment.

Job Role: Quality & Assembly Technician

Location: South London

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months initially - potential to join permanently

Pay: £13.09ph PAYE

About the Role

We're looking for a versatile Quality & Assembly Technician to support both product inspection and hands‑on assembly/dispatch activities. This role ensures high‑quality components, smooth workflow in the assembly area, and accurate shipment of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect manufactured and purchased components using visual and dimensional methods.
  • Perform in-process and first-article inspections and maintain inspection records.
  • Manage and use calibrated measurement and vision inspection equipment.
  • Carry out specialist tests, including spring testing and electrical bonding.
  • Support assembly, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
  • Handle returned goods, prepare labels, and maintain required documentation.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years in a quality inspection role (aerospace or precision environment preferred).
  • 5+ years in manufacturing/assembly operations.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement equipment.
  • Basic MS Office skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Must meet eyesight and colour perception requirements.
