Qualified Social Worker – Targeted Early Help Team

Location: South Yorkshire • Pay Rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join a forward-thinking Targeted Early Help Team in South Yorkshire. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team focused on helping children and families thrive through tailored support, robust assessments, and collaborative planning.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Build trusted relationships with children, young people, and their families to identify strengths and needs early.
• Undertake holistic, child-focused assessments and develop outcome-driven family plans.
• Provide practical and emotional support to families experiencing multiple and complex challenges.
• Work closely with schools, health professionals, police, and other partners to coordinate support and prevent escalation to statutory services.
• Empower families to achieve sustainable change and reduce long-term dependency on social care services.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of targeted support packages tailored to individual circumstances.

What We\'re Looking For

We\'re looking for a Social Worker who’s committed to early intervention, who thrives in collaborative environments, and who genuinely wants to help families succeed.

• A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
• 4+ years\' post-qualified experience, ideally in early help, family support or child in need services
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and family dynamics
• Excellent communication, motivational, and relationship-building skills
• A proactive and reflective approach to working with families and professionals
• The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multi-agency team
