Overview

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a enthusiastic and highly motivated Qualified Dental Nurse to work as part of the team in the HDFT Community Dental Services. The post will be placed on the AFC Band 4 pay scale. The closing date is 05 October 2025.

Location

The role is based in York. The successful candidate will work as part of the East Locality Community Dental Services team and Dental Services General Anaesthetic team at York District Hospital for General Anaesthetic Dental Sessions.

Main duties
  • Carry out clerical and administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of the clinic.
  • Responsible for ensuring a high standard of infection prevention control is maintained within the dental clinics.

Person Specification
  • Good general education with skills in written and oral English and basic maths
  • NEBDN Certificate and / or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
  • Registered with General Dental Council as a Dental Care Professional
  • Experience as a Dental Nurse of 3 years
  • Up to date knowledge in all areas of Dental Nursing
  • Competent in basic MS Office and IT Applications
  • Additional Qualifications in one of the following: Sedation, Radiography, Special Care Dentistry, Oral Health Promotion
  • ECDL or similar information technology training
  • Experience of working with patients with special care needs.
  • Experience of previous dental administration
  • Experience of working with SOE (Software of Excellence)
