Job summary

A leading UK food manufacturer is seeking a QA Technician to ensure the highest quality and safety standards in food production. In this role, you'll be responsible for compliance checks on products, conducting various quality tests, and supporting production teams in adhering to food safety procedures. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing, a sound understanding of relevant regulations, and a proactive approach. Qualifications

Are you passionate about food quality and safety? Do you have an eye for detail and a drive for excellence? We are looking for a QA Technician to join our dedicated team and help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Contract & Location

Contract: 12‑month fixed‑term
Location: Ebbw Vale, Rassau Industrial Estate, NP23 5SD
Hours: 06:00 - 18:00, 4 on / 4 off
Pay: £28,813 per year
Reporting to: QA Manager

Your Role

As a QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards.

  • Driving high‑quality product and packaging standards
  • Conducting compliance checks on finished products, raw materials, and packaging
  • Performing gas, pH, weight, label, and sensory testing
  • Preparing samples for chemical and microbiological analysis
  • Assisting with corrective actions following non‑conformances
  • Conducting allergen, CCP, and production compliance checks
  • Performing environmental swabbing, water testing, and temperature monitoring
  • Supporting production teams to ensure adherence to food safety and quality procedures
  • Attending and contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly meetings
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing
  • Good understanding of BRC regulations, HACCP, and food safety legislation
  • Qualifications: Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene, Level 1/2 HACCP (preferred but not essential)
  • Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and flexible attitude
