QA Technician required on a permanent basis, based in Greater Manchester. Recent and proven industrial experience in the Quality Assurance (QA) testing is required, preferably withing materials/metals.

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Term: Permanent

SRG are currently working with a leading manufacturer of alloys, and ceramic materials used predominantly in the aerospace, nuclear and motorsport industries. With a global presence and a portfolio of growing products, they are now looking to hire a QA Technician to join their technical team in Greater Manchester. This role will involve inspecting finished products and assembled goods in accordance with industry and customer standards. This role will suit candidates who have recent and proven industrial experience within Quality Assurance in either materials or metals (or similar), with knowledge and experience of ISO9001 preferred.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with flexibility)

Role/Description

  • Perform final inspections on completed components and assembled products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct inspections during various stages of production, including outsourced/subcontracted processes.
  • Evaluate and interpret inspection data to produce accurate certification documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Production, Customer Services, and Commercial departments.
  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance (QA) documentation, including control plans, inspection protocols, and testing reports.
  • Handling failed inspections, including performing root cause analysis as and when required.

Requirements

  • Recent and proven industrial experience within Quality Assurance in either materials or metals (or similar)
  • Knowledge/experience of ISO9001 standards
  • Knowledge/experience of tools such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), digital calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators is desireable
