Job summary

A local business in Cumbria is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage purchasing across multiple brands. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and comfortable using systems and spreadsheets. Responsibilities include processing orders, liaising with suppliers, and monitoring stock levels. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary dependent on experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is commercially savvy, confident with systems, and skilled at working with detailed product information across multiple brands and product codes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchasing of products across multiple brands and categories
  • Accurately process orders, ensuring correct product codes and descriptions are used
  • Maintain and update purchasing systems with current stock and supplier information
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability while minimising excess inventory
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure purchasing aligns with business needs
  • Analyse data to support cost savings and identify purchasing opportunities
