Psychology Graduate - SEN School (Salford)

Start Date: January • Location: Salford • Role: Full-time

Are you a psychology graduate looking to begin your career in a meaningful and rewarding setting? A forward-thinking SEN school in Salford is looking for a compassionate, resilient and motivated graduate to join their team supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including PMLD, MLD and SLD.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a specialist environment, develop your understanding of additional needs, and make a genuine difference to the lives of young people.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils with PMLD, MLD and SLD in a nurturing and inclusive setting.
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored learning and sensory-based activities.
  • Assisting with communication, engagement and emotional regulation.
  • Following EHCPs and supporting pupils' individual development targets.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff.
  • Using resilience, empathy and positive reinforcement to build trust and support progress.
What We're Looking For:
  • Recent Psychology graduate (or related degree).
  • A calm, caring and inclusive approach.
  • Resilience and strong relationship‑building skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Ability to adapt to different needs and learning styles.
  • Any experience in SEN, care, youth work or mental health is highly beneficial.
