Psychology Graduate Maidenhead – Aspiring Clinical Psychologist

Start Date : January 2026

Milk Education, a wellbeing‑led and eco‑conscious education agency, is recruiting Psychology and Creative graduates to join a highly specialist SEN school in Maidenhead.

SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Autism & PMLD School

Location : Maidenhead

Pay : £101.40 per day

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm (term time only)

Interviews & Trial Days : Early January 2026

This specialist setting supports pupils with high‑support Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). Many pupils are non‑verbal, making this an ideal opportunity for graduates who are empathetic, reflective, and interested in communication beyond speech.

What You’ll Gain Experience In:
  • Supporting sensory regulation and sensory care
  • Providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene routines
  • Encouraging communication through play, art, music, visual aids, and sensory resources
  • Assisting with daily therapeutic activities informed by Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech & Language Therapy (SALT), and Clinical Psychology
  • Building insight into behaviour, emotional regulation, and individual sensory profiles

This role provides exceptional preparation for postgraduate pathways in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Art Therapy, and related therapeutic careers.

Understanding Global Developmental Delay (GDD)

Global Developmental Delay refers to significant delays across two or more developmental areas, including cognition, communication, physical development, or emotional regulation.

In this role, you’ll learn to adapt support to each child’s unique profile, enabling meaningful progress within a safe, supportive environment.
