A leading fire safety organization in the UK is looking for a Protection Technical Officer to shape and influence national fire safety standards. The successful candidate will develop policies, lead on technical solutions, and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations. Candidates should have a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety, strong analytical skills, and proven experience in a protection environment. This position offers a chance to make significant contributions to public safety and firefighter protection.
Location: Home Based (UK wide travel as required)

The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) works with all fire and rescue services and the fire and rescue community across the UK to provide best practice, share resource and ensure continuous improvement to deliver our charitable aim.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Protection Technical Officer to join our Protection team. In this role, you’ll support the overall outcomes of the team aligned with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and NFCC deliverables, playing a vital part in shaping technical fire safety solutions and liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
You’ll contribute to developing national standards and policy guidance for the fire safety regulation, ensuring the protection of both the public and firefighters. A significant aspect of this role involves leading on competence frameworks for the fire service protection officers, including training courses, qualifications and accreditation processes.
