A local government authority in Long Eaton is seeking a Property Officer to manage the maintenance of council buildings. As Property Officer at Erewash Borough Council, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the planned and reactive maintenance for the Council’s property assets – driving innovation, sustainability, and value during this exciting period of change.
As the Property Officer you will help maintain and improve the Council’s buildings by planning, delivering and reviewing both planned and reactive maintenance programmes. You will also carry out building condition inspections, monitor contractor performance and update maintenance plans to ensure assets remain safe, well-maintained and cost-effective.
A key part of the role is ensuring strong health and safety compliance, including areas such as Working at Height, Asbestos, Legionella and CDM Regulations.
The role also involves making informed decisions about how maintenance and repair work is prioritised, ensuring buildings remain safe and in good condition.
