A leading real estate advisory and management firm is seeking a Senior Surveyor or Associate to join its nationally integrated property management team. The organisation manages a diverse range of commercial assets across office, industrial and retail sectors, combining technical expertise with innovative, client‑focused service delivery.

This opportunity supports a major national industrial portfolio for a long‑standing client who views the management team as an extension of their own business. The role offers strong long‑term stability, a well‑structured handover, and full support from an experienced multidisciplinary team.

The Role

This position is predominantly home‑based (with optional office access) and involves managing a wide range of industrial assets, particularly across the Midlands. Responsibilities include service charge management, tenant liaison, operational oversight and client reporting. The role sits within a highly collaborative national team with dedicated facilities management and accounting support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for tenants, including managing formal landlord and tenant matters such as assignments, subletting and alterations.

  • Work closely with building, estate and facilities managers to resolve maintenance, repair and operational issues.

  • Prepare, manage and monitor service charge budgets across multiple industrial assets.

  • Oversee income, expenditure and credit control in conjunction with a dedicated accounts team.

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, including attendance at portfolio review meetings.

  • Identify asset management opportunities to support the client's strategic plans and enhance portfolio performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in managing industrial properties is essential.

  • MRICS qualification is desirable but not required.

  • Confident communicator with proven client‑facing experience.

  • Comfortable working independently within a home‑based structure while contributing effectively to a national team.

  • Skilled in managing complex service charges and multi‑asset portfolios.

  • Experience using property management platforms is advantageous.

  • Self‑motivated, organised, and capable of using initiative in a relationship‑driven environment.

Team & Working Environment

The successful candidate will join an established national team comprising surveyors, facilities managers and accounting professionals. Regular touchpoints include:

  • Monthly portfolio meetings

  • Ongoing internal team updates

  • Annual full-team workshop and review session

Collaboration, communication and relationship-building are central to the role.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Opportunity to shape and influence the management of a major UK industrial portfolio.

  • Hybrid/home‑based working offering flexibility and autonomy.
