We are currently partnering with a Local Government, who are recruiting for a locum Commercial Property Solicitor whilst they advertise for the permanent position which you will be invited to also apply for.

This is a full-time position, with our client looing to interview and start the successful candidate as soon as possible.

Local government experience is essential for this role, however our client can be flexible on the rate, willing to look at both junior and senior candidates.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing a varied caseload of complex commercial property matters with a particular focus on development, regeneration and property transactions
• Assisting the team with overflow work on right to buys
• Advising on trust and charity landwork
• Drafting and negotiating contracts, transfers and leases
• Advising clients on governance
• Providing advice to internal and external stakeholders

Experience required:

• Must be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/CILEX
• Experience required in a Local Government Setting

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Experience with IKEN
