Overview

Project Manager - Building Services at Newlon Housing Trust, London (North). Permanent, full-time role with a salary of £58,650 per annum plus eligibility to earn up to 5% Performance Related Bonus. Closing date: 6 Oct 2025.

Newlon Housing Trust is a charitable housing association and a major provider of new affordable housing in north and east London. The role sits within the Building Services team and focuses on the development, management and control of component replacement and remedial work projects, with a strong emphasis on internal and external building and fire safety. You will also manage the project management of electrical and mechanical services (M&E) around compliance streams in our buildings from design and installation through to completion and post-review of works.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage and control component replacement and remedial work projects, with a focus on building and fire safety.
  • Project manage M&E compliance streams within buildings, from design and installation to completion and post-review of works.
  • Coordinate across design, construction and installation phases, ensuring on-time delivery within budgets and quality standards.
  • Engage with residents and stakeholders, communicating project plans, timelines and impact clearly.
Qualifications
  • Degree level or equivalent, and ideally a qualification in Building Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, Construction or similar.
  • Proven track record in project management within the housing sector, handling budgets over £150K.
  • Experience with fire equipment, lift replacement and door entry system replacement projects is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of building processes, health and safety legal requirements and building regulations.
  • First-class communication skills; ability to work with residents and stakeholders regularly.
  • Ability to work in and access confined spaces, including climbing ladders/scaffolding as needed.
