Project Structural Engineer – Existing building focus

Permanent | London | £45,000 – £55,000 + Annual Bonus

This architecturally driven, independently owned design studio are seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join their team. They offer a generous package, with flexible working, fully supported career development and the opportunity to work on, develop and lead some outstanding building structures projects in London alongside the Director.

You will act as the lead consultant on projects providing C&S representation and input at key stages of the project to other members of the project team as well as ensuring that the C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and specifically your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide C&S representation and input at key stages of projects.
• Ensure C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and to the team.
• Apply analysis techniques for the preparation of calculations for all elements within structures.
• Manage the preparation of such calculations and develop them when needed.
• Break down complex structures into individual components for element design and communicate to colleagues.
• Represent the company at internal and external meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Desire to build on existing experience and knowledge of structural engineering design on existing structures.
• Mentor junior staff.
