Job description
Overview

Cyclical Maintenance Lead, Cambridge area. Contract. £220.31 per day PAYE or £300 per day umbrella inside IR35. Must be able to drive and attend depots in Cambridgeshire at least 3 days per week. Base locations include New Shire Hall & Highways Depots countywide.

Responsibilities
  • Develop multiple planned maintenance regimes for ongoing cyclical works.
  • Work within the asset management system (Aurora) to schedule and manage those regimes.
  • Apply horticultural knowledge to ensure green assets are maintained in line with biodiversity and countryside regulations.
  • Understand enough about highways to balance sustainability and safety with operational requirements.
  • Provide expertise in planned and proactive maintenance of green infrastructure – including grass, verges, hedges, trees, and Rights of Way.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience in planned and proactive maintenance of green infrastructure.
  • Ability to identify species and maintenance needs and determine timing for maintenance (seasonally).
  • Familiarity with asset management concepts and scheduling maintenance regimes.
  • Understanding of highways safety requirements.
Other Information

Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for site visits. The role requires more than general highways knowledge.
