Job summary

A leading engineering and maintenance provider is seeking a Software Engineer in Reading. The role involves delivering project solutions, ensuring quality standards, and working on various modules including PLC and SCADA systems. Essential qualifications include experience in system specification, Siemens S7 PLCs, and a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality while collaborating with senior engineers on project management tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience of system specification through design, development and testing.
• Hands on experience of Siemens S7 PLC's and WinCC SCADA systems.
• Good appreciation of Control panels, electrical installation and Instrumentation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of agreed modules within a project.
• Work as directed by the Senior/Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
• Ensure adherence to company quality processes and procedures.

Skills

Experience of system specification

Experience with Siemens S7 PLC's

Hands on experience with WinCC SCADA systems

Good appreciation of Control panels

Electrical installation understanding

Education

Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
