Project Planner

This opportunity is for an experienced Project Planner to play a key role in shaping delivery. The role will suit individuals who enjoy working with complex schedules, applying analytical skills and ensuring programme information is both accurate and actionable.

Technical scope
  • Building and maintaining integrated schedules across varied workstreams
  • Testing schedule quality and highlighting risks or inconsistencies to project leadership
  • Supporting baseline planning activities and applying recognised planning principles
  • Assessing forecasts and costs to go, contributing to reliable EAC reviews
  • Applying critical path and schedule risk analysis to inform decision making
  • Supporting new bids and proposals with sound planning input
Methods and tools

Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate capability in :

  • Structuring projects using WBS, CBS and OBS frameworks
  • Producing and interpreting project performance data covering schedule, resource and cost
  • Using planning and controls software such as Primavera P6, ARM, SAP or Oracle tools
  • Applying change control and baseline management techniques

Experience with earned value management, resource-loaded schedules or risk and opportunity analysis will be an advantage.
