About the Role

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a major high-rise residential scheme in Hackney, delivering excellence from pre-construction through to handover. This is a flagship development for a Tier 1 contractor, offering the opportunity to shape a landmark project in one of London's most vibrant boroughs.

You'll be at the helm of a technically complex build, overseeing design development, managing key commercial aspects, and driving programme performance across all phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards.
• Oversee design management, chairing design coordination meetings and working closely with consultants and subcontractors.
• Take ownership of programme management, risk mitigation, and reporting progress to senior leadership.
• Work collaboratively with commercial teams, providing input into procurement, contract management, and cost control.
• Ensure robust health & safety and quality assurance procedures are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments (ideally high-rise, RC frame).
• Strong knowledge of the pre-construction phase, including early engagement with planners, consultants, and supply chain.
• Demonstrable experience managing the design process, from RIBA Stage 3 onwards.
• Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of budgets, packages, and cost management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Background working for a Tier 1 or large Tier 2 main contractor.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid essential.
