Job Description - Permanent Project Manager- Rail role to join our CEFA team at York. Remote working, 37.5 hrs per week.
In this role, you will manage the effective running of the CEFA OPI team with the provision of programme delivery and compliance with the CEFA OPI technical specifications to support the delivery of the CEFA project nationally. Responsible for the management, planning and delivery of OPI.
This role offers the opportunity to work with Amey, who have worked with Network Rail delivering aspects of the CEFA contracts since 2009.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with Key Processes and Safety Responsibility.
- Create and manage the OPI program and ensure it is delivered to time, budget and specification, updating the OPI Manager with all regional progress information as required.
- Manage the OPI surveyors and resource the program requirements.
- Create accurate forecasts for resource capacity and needs in line with programme requirements.
- Arranging access for Building Surveyors to Network Rail buildings and property.
- Ensure that all work is completed to satisfy the requirements of the Contract KPI's.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Network Rail, to understand and implement their requirements.
- Support the procurement of suppliers and sub-contractors (with support from the commercial team) where required to support and enhance the core team delivery.
- Ensure that all surveying staff are fully trained, hold the correct track safety and other appropriate safety competences for their role and ensure these are maintained or updated.
Qualifications
- Qualified Project Manager (APM) or Building Surveyor to HNC/HND level (RICS, CIOB).
- Significant project management experience delivering civils projects (preferably) within railway infrastructure with responsibility for P&L at project level.
- Knowledge of technical and operational related structures/buildings roles in an engineering, surveying, or project management capacity.
- Previous experience in the rail industry and knowledge of railway practice.
- Knowledge of the competence requirements of NR/L2/CIV/1000.
- Knowledge of Network Rail's assets and how they are managed.
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Knowledge of Citadel system.
- Full UK Driving licence.
