Job description

The Project Manager will be responsible for proactively and independently managing all aspects of project development/delivery within the Capital Programme in the UK. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing the replacement of key assets such as lifts, escalators, HVAC, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, budget constraints, and timelines. Days of working: Monday - Friday Hybrid working options

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop multiple project scopes in collaboration with the Facilities Management team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure projects are effectively resourced, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk analysis, addressing potential issues such as lead times and landlord constraints.
  • Communicate effectively with store associates, contractors, the Facilities Management team, local authorities, and all stakeholders who may be impacted by the project.
  • Chair weekly project progress meetings, produce accurate minutes, and distribute to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes and schedules.
  • Manage project deliverables in accordance with the agreed project plan.
  • Record and monitor project issues, escalating promptly where necessary.
  • Maintain and update project progress trackers, presenting accurate status reports when requested.
  • Manage your own travel to and from stores to undertake pre-start, interim, and handover meetings.
  • Take ownership of the project handover process, inspect installation quality prior to sign-on, and ensure all Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Ensure that the retail teams are kept up to date on any given project, in terms of key dates, delays, escalations.
  • On completion of pertinent projects, manage the successful integration of control systems in collaboration with E-ON.
  • Act as the primary liaison with E-ON to track and expedite delivery of post-visit documentation, ensuring reports are received, reviewed, and actioned promptly.
  • Prepare project tenders, obtain quotations, conduct quote analysis, and award contracts in line with procurement policies.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM).
  • Strong experience in managing facilities-related projects.
  • Background in Facilities Management.
  • Hands‑on experience with Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems and HVAC project delivery.
