What the role will involve

Are you looking for the next step in your project management career and seeking a Project Manager role? We have a new opportunity for a developing project management professional to join our Intelligence & Cyber EMEA division within our Customer Services team. The role will report to our Services Portfolio Lead and will generally run several concurrent projects with <£3M cost, leading multi‑disciplined teams.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, specify and manage the production of bid submissions working with bid management and also maintain future opportunity/demand schedules. Work closely with and provide support to the sales & marketing department to capture targeted customer‑funded business in accordance with company forecasts and plans.
  • Deliver world‑class Customer Service project management capability to L3Harris customers, via effective service‑level management, monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the customer interaction and customer relationship management for allocated projects.
  • Create baseline and forecast plans and schedules, specify and manage resources across identified projects.
  • Plan the projects and monitor their overall progress, manage risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate to ensure projects are executed within the agreed schedule, cost and performance, in a professional project management manner. Ensure that project deliverables are to the appropriate levels of quality, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the project plans.
  • Accountable for revenue and gross margin achievement on all allocated Customer Service contracts and projects, monitoring expenditure and cost against delivered and realised benefits.
  • Provide accurate and timely customer service management reports to senior management highlighting particular areas of risk and opportunity, including monthly project reviews.
  • Support the continuous development of Customer Service capabilities, via identification of areas for improvement and interpreting Customer requirement.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years Project management experience including schedule, scope, risk and opportunities, resource and financial management and reporting.
  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Highly computer literate including MS Office and ‘super‑user’ MS Project (including Server), SAP skills.
  • Full project lifecycle experience including the practical and effective use of formal project and risk management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in architecting Service Solutions to maximise product support and customer touch points whilst meeting the customer needs.
  • Ability to develop excellent leadership, customer relations and communications to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Defence/Government sector experience.
