Job Purpose

The Projects Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing the SRC transformation project and Ayer Rajah Sports Centre project (in progress) to ensure objectives and goals are met. Directing, controlling, coordinating, preventive maintenance, simplification, cost reduction, methods, techniques, fire safety management and other maintenance projects.

The PM evaluates the operations of facilities to ensure that they are safe and functional. He builds trust and rapport with users and assesses the performance of third-party service deliverers. He / She is involved in developing tender specifications, sourcing quotations, and developing project related contracts. He will also propose budget plans to the management for review. He possesses technical knowledge for building, project management in excellent delivery and comply Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices and implements sustainability guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
Project Management
  1. Lead and monitor the execution of construction stage in phases for SRC transformation project and Ayer Rajah Sports Centre project (in progress), including external facade work.
  2. Optimises project plans, leads constructability reviews for construction, installation and assembly of components, equipment and systems and completion of activities.
  3. Adheres and monitors compliance to the relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
  4. Oversees the implementation of sustainable engineering strategies, procedures and guidelines to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  5. Communicates information in a clear and concise manner and interact proactively to obtain buy-ins of stakeholders.
  6. Drives the overall execution of projects based on project requirements.
  7. Oversees the project assessment phases. Ensures the mechanical and/or electrical systems designs and models developed are in accordance to project requirements.
  8. Leads the tendering processes and be responsible for the projects’ costs and budgets.
  9. Take on all other minor renovation projects excluding end-user projects such as replacement of sports section in-house system and equipment.
Others
  1. Assist Maintenance and Housekeeping Department on FSM duties.
  2. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
  3. Assist department in preparation of slides for Management Committee meeting
  4. Any other duties/projects as assigned by the Senior Management.
  5. Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
  6. Not to engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.
  7. Use personal protective equipment provided to you to ensure your safety while working. You must not tamper with or misuse the equipment.
Job Requirement
  • Diploma/Degree in Architectural/Civil & Structural Engineering
  • FSM (Certified Fire Safety Manager) certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Project management certifications (e.g. PMP, WSQ, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project or facility management, particularly in the construction, engineering, or built environment sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing contractors, cross-functional teams, and multiple projects concurrently.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong project planning, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
