About the Company

A leading Tier 1 main contractor with a national presence and a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their North West team. Specialising in major schemes across the education sector, the business is known for its quality-driven approach, innovative construction methods, and commitment to developing its people.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of major education developments from pre-construction through to handover. You will ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards, while managing client relationships and driving performance across the project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and delivery of large-scale education projects.
• Oversee all site operations, programme management, and project reporting
• Manage and coordinate design, commercial, engineering, and site teams
• Ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality targets are consistently met
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
• Drive a robust safety culture across all stages of the project
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to project teams to achieve shared goals

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Strong background delivering major education schemes (schools, universities, academies, or campus developments)
• Track record delivering multi‑million‑pound projects, ideally 50m+
• Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder management skills
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
• Well‑versed in modern construction methods, digital delivery, and quality management
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
