Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will support the Advisory Division within the Water and Environment portfolio, overseeing all project phases from appraisal to delivery, ensuring compliance with governance, health & safety, and budget requirements. You will matrix manage delivery teams and engage with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Embed sustainability principles
  • Manage health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Coordinate contract requirements (NEC)
  • Manage project risks, opportunities, and change control
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Oversee project budget and expenditure
  • Manage project programme and team collaboration
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in engineering, project, or construction management
  • Relevant professional qualification (preferably APM)
  • Membership of a relevant chartered body (e.g., MAPM, MCIWEM, MICE, MCIOB, MRICS)
  • Experience in project management and contracts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (2-3 times per week)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in water sector, environment, or regulated industries
  • Experience with NEC contracts
  • Experience working 'client side' for utilities
