Project Manager - Civils / Infrastructure

Up to £65k Basic Salary, Car/Allowance, Fuel Card & Attractive Benefits Package

We are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience on Highways, Street works, Road Realignment and General Civils to join the Civils Division of a multi-faceted regional contractor on projects in Yorkshire across the M62 corridor due to a number of framework wins in the region.

Responsibilities
  • The Project Manager will ensure all safety, technical and commercial objectives are met initially focussing on projects including public realm, 278 schemes, cycle ways and road re-alignments.
  • The Project Manager will be accountable for, but not limited to:
  • Leading a team of internal staff and a team of external specialist subcontractors
  • Developing and delivering a portfolio of highway and structures projects
  • Managing site staff performance
  • Providing health and safety leadership to the operational delivery teams
  • Complying with all relevant HSE legislation
  • Supporting as required the estimating and planning process for the project
  • Ensuring sufficient and competent resources are in place for the delivery of the project and project objectives are communicated
  • Developing and maintaining programmes through the project life cycle and ensuring works are delivered against the contract programme
  • Leading the project risk management process and ensuring effective controls are established to support delivery of the project
  • Ensuring project opportunities are identified and realised to maintain and improve the commercial project performance
  • Promoting and maintaining effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance company reputation leading to repeat business
  • Upholding the core company values and inspiring and encouraging the same throughout the team
  • Ensuring that all mandatory reporting of KPI's, Near Misses, accidents and incidents are carried out as per AGC and Client procedures
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • Relevant Civil Engineering Degree, be in possession of relevant equivalent experience.
  • NEC Contract management experience is desirable.
  • You'll also have a high level of commercial acumen and be a confident and articulate communicator.
