Job description

NRL is excited to be recruiting an experienced Project Manager for a key role with one of our prestigious clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major, high-profile project within the nuclear sector. You will play an essential role in project delivery, working on impactful work with competitive pay and opportunities for both professional development and long-term career stability.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the delivery of projects, ensuring successful execution within defined goals, timelines, and budgets, while adhering to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Work closely with the client’s Project Portfolio Manager (PPM) to develop and execute project strategies, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

Manage and oversee cross-functional project teams, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of nuclear projects.

Maintain continuous communication with the client and internal teams, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective project execution.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and project activities.

Occasionally travel to other UK sites to support project delivery and collaborate with stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

A degree in engineering or a related discipline.

Formal Project Management qualification (, APMP) or equivalent.

Extensive experience managing projects through all phases, ideally within complex, regulated environments.

In-depth knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies, including experience with engineering, design, procurement, safety, and construction management.

Proficiency in project management tools, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and Earned Value techniques.

Strong communication and organizational skills to foster relationships and maintain effective networks with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven experience in delivering projects within high safety and regulatory standards.

Has the ability to gain security clearance.
