A leading water services provider is seeking a Project Manager to lead an innovative £120m Advanced Water Recycling project in Colchester. The role includes managing the project's early development stages, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivery within budget. Ideal candidates will have proven project management experience and excellent stakeholder management skills, with a hybrid working model that requires being in the office 1-2 days a week.
Permanent, 37 hours a week. Location: Anglian Water Region / Hybrid - you will be managing the early development of a project at Colchester, with some travel to this site and occasional meetings at our offices in Peterborough/Huntingdon. Hybrid working is provided, with a base location in the Anglian Water Region and an expectation of being in the office/onsite 1-2 days a week. This role is to lead a pioneering project shaping the future of water supply in the East of England. You will lead a first-of-its-kind Advanced Water Recycling (AWR) project for Anglian Water — a high-profile, innovative £120m scheme that will help tackle future water shortages. As identified in our draft Water Resources Management Plan 2024, the East of England faces a significant challenge: by 2050, we expect to have 38% less water available for our customers. One key solution is the development of an AWR plant in Colchester, and we need a confident, driven Project Manager to make it a success. You will join a newly established team dedicated to developing ground breaking major infrastructure projects, including desalination and water recycling. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will lead the early-stage development of the Colchester AWR scheme, steering it through design, procurement, planning, and governance, while ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
