A leading water services provider is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the development of an Advanced Water Recycling project in Colchester. This role involves overseeing the design, procurement, and planning phases while ensuring delivery meets budget and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Hybrid working is offered, with some onsite requirements.

Permanent, 37 Hours a week
Location: Anglian Water Region / Hybrid – you will be managing the early development of a project at Colchester so we would expect some travel to this site as well as our offices in Peterborough/Huntingdon for occasional meetings.
Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role provides you with hybrid working. Your base location will be at an office within the Anglian Water Region with the expectation of being in the office / onsite 1-2 days a week.

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next big challenge? This is your opportunity to lead a first-of-its-kind Advanced Water Recycling (AWR) project for Anglian Water — a high-profile, innovative £120m scheme that will play a critical role in tackling future water shortages.
As identified in our draft Water Resources Management Plan 2024, the East of England faces a significant challenge: by 2050, we expect to have 38% less water available for our customers. One of the key solutions is the development of an AWR plant in Colchester — and we need a confident, driven Project Manager to make it a success.
You’ll join a newly established team dedicated to developing ground breaking major infrastructure projects, including desalination and water recycling. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you’ll lead the early-stage development of the Colchester AWR scheme, steering it through design, procurement, planning, and governance, while ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
