Project Manager

Location: Remote / Site-Based (must live within a commutable distance to the Peterborough office)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + van/car allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing compliance and safety service provider, delivering electrical and fire alarm installation projects across various sites.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will manage engineers and site activity while working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical and fire alarm installation projects from mobilisation through to completion
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and site-based activities
  • Ensure all works comply with current Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
  • Maintain control of project programmes, budgets, and resources
  • Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and variations
  • Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting is completed
  • Liaise with operations and compliance teams to support effective delivery
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across all sites
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Project Manager or similar role within construction, electrical, fire, or compliance environments
  • Recognised Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS
  • Demonstrable experience managing engineers and coordinating site-based works
  • Competent knowledge of electrical and fire alarm installations
  • Strong understanding of construction industry practices and safe working methods
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
