People Group is recruiting a Project Manager from a contractor background to work in the Eastern Region on waterways, Flood Defence schemes, Navigation structures and Highways/ Road schemes.

Key Accountabilities:

• Management of site staff, operatives and sub-contractors
• Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plans
• Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgets
• Preparing and monitoring programmes of work
• Foster good relations and reputation with clients
• Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors
• Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts
• Supervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience required:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role working for a main contractor.
• Experience working within waterways, flood defence/ structures and highways/ road schemes.
• HND/ HNC/ BEng or equivalent
• Valid SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS card
• Must be happy to travel to site in Peterborough / Cambridge 5 days a week.
