Overview

Project Manager (Mechanical / Electrical)
Location: Hinkley Point C, near Bristol (Somerset)
Salary: £70,000-£75,000+ + Car Allowance
Contract Type: Permanent
Clearance Required: BPSS
Working Pattern: 5-day week or 9-day fortnight

We are seeking experienced Project Managers (Mechanical & Electrical) to join Hinkley Point C – the UK’s first new nuclear power station in a generation and central to the Net Zero strategy. This is a chance to lead complex engineering packages in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

The Opportunity

You will manage mechanical or electrical packages, ensuring delivery to time, cost, quality, and safety standards. Responsibilities include developing strategies, monitoring performance, engaging stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement. This is a career-defining role on a landmark project with long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver contract activities safely, on time, and within budget
  • Lead projects from concept to handover
  • Manage schedules, costs, risks, and reporting
  • Develop and motivate teams to exceed expectations
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and advisors
  • Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and nuclear quality requirements
About You
  • HNC (Mechanical) or Degree (Electrical) preferred
  • APM PMQ or equivalent project management qualification
  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects
  • Mechanical background (piped systems, HVAC, drainage, heating & cooling) or electrical systems expertise
  • Knowledge of nuclear or highly regulated environments desirable
  • Strong financial, change, and stakeholder management skills
