Project Manager

Permanent, Full-time

Hybrid role - predominantly remote with occasional travel to Bristol or other Bupa locations across the UK

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be accountable for delivering a range of projects across Bupa Dental Care, supporting the FITS team to drive change across the business. This role spans business improvement, security, clinical, financial and IT infrastructure change, across Head Office and clinical practices in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, including company executives, clinical leads, heads of department, and operational and IT teams, to ensure smooth, successful and safe delivery. The role supports the ‘IT as a Service’ target state, aligned to the Bupa Strategic Framework, and contributes to building and delivering a technology project pipeline aligned to Bupa’s transformation goals, ensuring effective use of shared technical and business resources.

Responsibilities
  • End-to-end delivery of multiple projects from initiation to rollout, working autonomously and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Drive the successful delivery of multiple, concurrent large or complex change initiatives across Bupa.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, milestones, resources, budgets, and critical path, while ensuring effective risk management.
  • Monitor project performance, manage risks and issues, and escalate where required to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide clear leadership and stakeholder management across dental, operational, IT and third‑party teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed governance, standards, methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile), and commercial outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost and increase service value throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills/Experience
  • Strong understanding of project methodologies and ability to apply the most suitable approach for each project.
  • Experience in dental, primary or secondary care is desirable.
  • Flexible and able to manage projects across a wide geographical area.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
  • Able to work under pressure, deliver to tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail in all forms of communication.
