A leading health care institution in Birmingham is seeking to appoint a manager for ICT Service Developments. The successful candidate will support the ICT Operations Manager and enhance the experience of staff through effective project management and governance. Overview

The role will support the overall management of all ICT Service Developments that are the responsibility of the ICT Operations Manager and that will improve the experience of BWC staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide timely delivery of projects and value for money. Assess feasibility of delivery given financial circumstances and nature of projects.
  • Ensure governance of processes, including management of contractors who may provide expert services in an ICT environment (e.g., IT service relationship management software).
  • Ensure project delivery within financial limits and support the work of the ICT department, developing relationships with clinical and operations teams.
  • Oversee the design of IT service relationship management software.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of application analysts for a group of modules, ensuring a consistent approach to configuration and integration between all modules.
  • Provide guidance and ensure compliance around information standards and quality across configuration teams and the wider Cardiology system programme.
  • Operate in a complex multidisciplinary environment, act with minimum guidelines, set standards for others, and thrive in a fast‑paced and adaptable setting.
  • Use expert programme knowledge to support and guide the team in making appropriate decisions with stakeholders to configure best‑practice workflows and design configuration ensuring data and workflows align with reporting and clinical audit requirements.
  • Represent the module team by providing assurance and guidance around responsibilities at management and stakeholder meetings, acting as an ambassador for the BWCH EPR programme.
