Project Manager

My client is a leading non-profit organisation, currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Belfast.

This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract until the 31st of May 2029.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (with Hybrid working policy in place).

With a salary of £47,754 - £51,802 per annum pro rata

Job Role

You will be responsible for assuming the pivotal leadership role within the project, directing activities, liaising with key stakeholders while setting standards and developing the wider project team.

Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of 2 years' project management experience, including team leadership, contract and supplier management, and delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget.
  • A relevant degree level qualification (e.g. Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Community Development) or equivalent.
  • A proven track record in effectively managing large project budgets and working with external funders.
  • IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. With skills in document preparation, data analysis, presentations, and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive in Northern Ireland/ROI and have the use of vehicle for official purpose
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Take a lead role in the management and delivery of the project strands, by ensuring robust project management methodologies are implemented.
  • Develop internal processes to ensure effective and efficient delivery of programme objectives and targets and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, with direct line management of project staff.
  • Develop and implement appropriate mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against key objectives.
  • Apply change, risk and resource management strategies to ensure successful delivery of programme objectives.
  • To assume a leadership role within the project, managing the team, and providing clear direction.
  • Contribute to the development of short-, medium-, and long-term financial planning and strategy of the project.
  • Develop, monitor and control all budgets within their area of responsibility and implement corrective action if required.
  • Manage all programme related budget requirements and financial issues in line with funder guidelines and grant conditions.
  • Ensure full implementation of procurement processes in line with organisational policy and funder requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Management Team, identify new sources of funding which will ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the public, voluntary, community and private sectors, demonstrating self-awareness, flexibility and a collaborative approach.
  • Ensure that all appropriate data, trends, statistics, performance measures are gathered, analysed and communicated in support of programme evaluation.
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place for the required information retention requirements and ensure high standards throughout the project.
