A specialist engineering recruitment firm is seeking a Project Engineer - Electronic Design to join a hybrid working model. This role involves providing expert advice on EMC-compliant design and supporting various electronic design activities. Candidates should have a degree in relevant fields and significant experience in electronic design, with a strong understanding of EMC principles. Due to security requirements, only UK citizens can be considered for this position.

Job description

Project Engineer - Electronic Design

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engineer/Electronic Design Engineer to apply their skills within the specialist field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).

This role offers the chance to work across the full engineering lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, and assurance of complex electronic systems in challenging operational environments.

Joining a specialist EMC and Radiation Effects function that combines hands‑on testing capabilities with embedded technical consultancy, you will sit within a projectgood‑focused team that supports multiple programmes, with a particular emphasis on design for EMC and radiation effects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance on EMC‑compliant electronic design
  • Supporting analogue and digital electronic design activities
  • Developing test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions
  • Supporting the creation and enhancement of specialist test capabilities
  • Working closely with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with EMC requirements.

To be considered you will have the following skills and experience:

Key skills and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, EMC, or a related discipline
  • panSignifican experience in electronic design, development, and delivery
  • Proven ability to lead electronic design work packages
  • Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE (e.g. LTspice, OrCAD) Beaches

Additional desired experience:

  • Practical understanding of EMC principles and design techniques
  • Experience applying EMC standards at system, sub‑system, or equipment level (e.g. military or aerospace standards)
  • Previous experience supporting EMC activities within complex engineering programmes.

The role is a hybrid working model, with an estimated 2‑3 days working onsite per week, though this can change based on workload.
